Activists Arrested After Throwing Flowers and Shouting Abuse at Stalin Memorial in Moscow

Two people, described as anti-communist activists by the Moscow Times, were arrested for throwing flowers and shouting abuse towards a statue of former Soviet dictator Josef Stalin on Tuesday, March 5, the anniversary of his death.

This video shows one of the activists protesting and then being detained by security forces. The videographer, Stepan Vyboch, describes himself as an anti-communist activist, and told Storyful that both of the people arrested, whom he named as Evgeny Suchkov and Olga Savchenko, were part of the Decommunization activist group.
