Authorities Gather at Myakkahatchee Creek Park as Search for Brian Laundrie Develops

The FBI and other authorities were on the scene in Myakkahatchee Creek Park in Florida after officials found several “items of interest” relating to Brian Laundrie, missing person of interest in the death of Gabby Petito.

Video shared to Twitter by Rudy Triana shows people standing near the park’s entrance, waiting for information or breaking news on Wednesday. Authorities entered the park with Chris and Roberta Laundrie, Brian’s parents, after finding what the FBI called “items of interest” in the reserve.

The FBI said an evidence response team was called in, as was a medical examiner, according to local reports.

Brian Laundrie was last seen on September 13. Petito’s body was discovered in Wyoming on September 21 and her death declared a homicide. Laundrie is the only person of interest in the case. Credit: Rudy Triana via Storyful
