Baby Steps as German Shepherd Tries to Beat the Heat With Dog Water Fountain

A German Shepherd struggled to get to grips with a water fountain intended to help keep him cool when temperatures soared during the Iowa summer heat last month.

In footage captured by the dog’s owners, Devin and Jessica Reed, on June 16 four-year-old Bear is seen learning how to use his paw to get water from a fountain specially designed for dogs.

“He is learning to use his new dog water fountain to cool off in the summer heat and humidity,” his owners said. “The fountain sprays water in the air when he uses his paw to press down on it.” Credit: Devin Reed and Jessica Reed via Storyful
