Bus Stuck on Flooded Istanbul Street in Aftermath of Torrential Rain

Istanbul was swamped on July 27 after torrential rainfall hit the city, submerging vehicles in pools and leaving walkways drenched with rainwater.

This footage shows the area under a bridge in Western Istanbul flooded with debris. A bus can be seen stuck in the water, and in a second video that the uploader poster, people are seen trying to escape from their flooded cars.

Sozcu reported that the rain had disrupted tram services traffic , while images published on Internet Haber showed trapped locals sitting on their flooded cars or swimming through makeshift lakes created by the rain. Credit: Instagram/selcukkalelioglu via Storyful
