Cambodia starts vaccinating 6 to 12 year-olds

Footage from local news network PNN TV showed Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen watching his grandchildren receiving their vaccination at his office at the Peace Building on Friday (September 17) morning.

Cambodia's economy is gradually recovering and is projected to grow 4 percent in 2021 after contracting 3.1 percent in 2020, the World Bank said in June, saying that however, the recovery remains uneven and volatile, due in part to the reintroduction of lockdown to control the spread of COVID-19.

COVID lockdown has hurt tourism in Cambodia, with international arrivals, as of December 2020, contracting by 80.2 percent year-on-year, reaching 1.31 million, according to the World Bank.
