'So Canadian, Eh?' Icy Boat Lists in Freezing Okanagan Lake

Authorities in British Colombia braced for blizzard conditions on January 14, with accumulations of up to a half-meter of snow predicted for the following day in parts of Vancouver Island, the Weather Network reported.

Farther inland, on the banks of Okanagan Lake, Summerland was looking anything but summery. Local Denise Egan recorded this footage, showing a sailboat listing with ice around its hull, and pancake ice on the lake’s surface.
