Yahoo Finance Live checks out Carnival Cruise Lines' stock ahead of its earnings report tomorrow.

Video transcript

- All right, here now, my stock to watch for tomorrow. Carnival Cruise Lines, the company reporting earnings ahead of the open tomorrow, and results are expected to be much higher than a year ago, but still expected to post a loss. Analysts are going to be keeping a close eye on fuel costs, as the price of oil spiked on Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The company issued a warning back in March that uncertainty tied to the war would have a material impact on results. It will also be interesting to see what occupancy and bookings are like. Analysts have raised concerns about travelers' wariness about getting onto ships, given the COVID pandemic. It's been a rough year for the stock, down more than 54% so far this year.
