Carpet Python Hides Under Queensland Girl's Bed

A young girl on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast woke up to a carpet python slithering into her room in the middle of the night, an Australian snake catcher said.

Stuart McKenzie from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 said he responded to a call in the early hours of December 2 to remove a snake from a child’s bedroom in a home in Buderim.

This footage shows McKenzie removing the snake from underneath the bed. “Oh my god, look at it,” a woman says as McKenzie pulls the snake out from the ground.

McKenzie told Storyful that he thought the snake might come through the family’s doggy door. Credit: Stuart McKenzie via Storyful
