Catcher Finds Massive Snake Skin, But No Snake, at Queensland Home

A snake catcher in Queensland said he found one of the biggest carpet python skins he had ever seen during a callout to a home on April 14.

Catcher Stuart McKenzie from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 said that he was called out to a house in Buderim, where he found the gigantic skin dangling from a hole in the side of the roof – but no snake in sight.

“It’s more than double you,” McKenzie’s colleague can be heard saying as he stands next to the skin.

According to McKenzie, they searched the roof space, the top of the roof, and around the yard, but were unable to find the python, and asked that if anybody in the area spotted a large snake, to give them a call.

“Wowzas! Its great to see that there are still some big snakes getting around,” he said on Facebook. Credit: Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 via Storyful
