Chinese Crew Rescued After Container Ship Runs Aground in Sakhalin, Russia

All 12 Chinese crew members of a container ship were rescued after the ship ran aground in Kholmsk on the Russian island of Sakhalin on December 6.

The Xing Yuan ship was reported to have hit an embankment near the Russian port at around 4 pm on Monday, but did not request to be rescued and had no fuel leak, according to Russian emergency services. The crew was evacuated from the ship on December 7.
