Corbyn Says U.K. Monarchy Needs `Improvement'

Nov.19 -- U.K. opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn and Prime Minister Boris Johnson are asked by ITV's Julie Etchingham during an election debate if the royal family is fit for purpose following revelations over Prince Andrew’s friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. "It needs a bit of improvement," Corbyn said. Johnson, by contrast, said "the institution of the monarchy is beyond reproach." Both said that Epstein’s victims should be the focus of everyone’s sympathies.
