Dashcam Footage Captures Meteor Flaring in Florida Sky

Residents the length of Florida reported a bright fireball blazing across the night sky on April 12.

The National Weather Service said its Geostationary Lightning Mapper (GLM) captured a “bright meteor as it burned up off the coast.”

The American Meteor Society said it received more than 250 reports of sightings, from Miami to Jacksonville.
