Dixie Fire Casts Eerie Red Glow Across Northern California Town

Skies glowed an eerie shade of red in Susanville, California, as smoke from the Dixie Fire was blown by strong winds across Lassen County on August 5.

Authorities in Lassen County issued new mandatory evacuation orders as the Dixie Fire intensified and grew to over 361,000 acres.
