DoorDash to end partnership with Walmart: Report

Yahoo Finance's Julie Hyman and Brian Sozzi discuss DoorDash and Walmart ending their partnership next month.

JULIE HYMAN: There's another story that I just briefly wanted to mention here because we're seeing a big stock reaction, and that is in DoorDash. Because according to Insider-- I don't know if this has been confirmed yet-- but DoorDash is ending its grocery partnership with Walmart through which it was delivering Walmart groceries.

And DoorDash shares quickly fell as much as 4%. Now, they're off by about 2.7%. But we're seeing-- it's interesting a lot of the moving pieces, if you will. We, of course, had Walmart signed that deal with Paramount. We've got Amazon Prime that is signing various deals as well to try to compete with these membership programs that they're all trying to give you as many bells and whistles as possible on.

BRIAN SOZZI: I like to pride myself in being well-versed in everything Walmart. I even this partnership even existed, which is perhaps telling. Maybe others didn't know it existed. Hence, it is ending.

JULIE HYMAN: Yes. Maybe that's-- you're the problem, Brian. So yeah--

BRIAN SOZZI: I am the problem--

JULIE HYMAN: --I guess.
