Drone Footage Shows Migrants Gathered by Rio Grande River

An estimated 12,000 migrants remained gathered by the Rio Grande River near Del Rio, Texas, footage from Friday, September 17 shows.

Local media said the mayor of Del Rio declared a state of emergency on Friday as the migrants, including many Haitians, remained near an international bridge that connects the city with Mexico.

Food and water have become scarce as temperatures soared, local media reported, with people gathering beneath the bridge for shade.
