[UPDATE] Excavator Falls Into Water During Construction Mishap in South Florida

An excavator fell into a body of water while a construction crew was attempting to build a bridge in South Bay, Florida, on July 2.

This video of the incident that shows the excavator being manoeuvred atop a barge before it slides off the edge and splashes into the water, sending other crew members running to check on the operator.

The recorder, who is a member of the construction crew and asked to remain anonymous, told Storyful that the workers involved were not injured and the machine was eventually replaced.

An earlier version of this story provided the uploader’s name. It has been updated to respect the source’s request to remain anonymous. Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
