Fawn Fire Glows Red in Shasta County, California

The Fawn Fire burned 9,850 acres across Shasta County, California, and was 10 percent contained as of Friday, September 24, according to Cal Fire.

Footage filmed by Alekz Londos shows the Fawn Fire burning in the early hours of Friday morning. Later in the footage, aircrafts can be seen dropping retardant on the fire burning near Bear Mountain.

At least 25 structures have been destroyed by the Fawn Fire, Cal Fire confirmed, as crews continued surveying the damage caused by the fire, Battalion Chief JT Zulliger said during a press conference.
