FBI warns of LinkedIn crypto scams

RACHELLE AKUFFO: And speaking of social media companies, I wanted to ask you about what's been happening with LinkedIn and these allegations of fraud on the platform. What's going on there?

DAN HOWLEY: Yeah, this is basically another issue with cryptocurrency scams. Apparently, they were being run on LinkedIn. People would be suckered in to investing in legitimate cryptocurrency exchanges. And then fraudsters would ask them to move all of their currency to a different exchange, and they would steal their money. Cryptocurrency scams are relatively common, unfortunately, on social media. So if you're a regular user, if someone reaches out to you ever for any kind of proposition to make more money, just ignore them.
