Gosport: Patients' safety put 'at the bottom of the pile'

Family members of the patients who died at Gosport Memorial Hospital between 1989 and 2000 have delivered a statement following the publication of the Independent Panel's findings on Wednesday morning. The report found that 456 patients' lives were shortened by excessive and wrong opioid administration. Bridget Reeves, whose grandmother Elsie Devine died at the hospital in 1998, said the Department of Health "continued to put patients' safety at the bottom of the pile" .
