Heavy Rain in Birmingham as Flash Flood Watch Extended for Central Alabama

Heavy rain fell in Birmingham, Alabama, on September 19, adding to the flooding that occurred in the area on previous days. A flash flood watch was extended for central Alabama until Monday, September 20.

According to the National Weather Service, up to five inches of rain fell in some spots.
