Le indicazioni infatti prevedono la didattica a distanza nelle scuole di ogni ordine e grado, e quindi edifici scolastici chiusi, nelle regioni, province e comuni in zona rossa, nelle zone ad alta incidenza (250 casi ogni 100mila abitanti in sette giorni) e in tutte le aree dove sono state adottate misure stringenti di isolamento "in ragione della circolazione di varianti virali con alto rischio di diffusività". - Stop allo sport, ad eccezione di quello di interesse nazionale dal CONI e CIP. Sospese le attività nei centri sportivi. Rimane consentito svolgere attività motoria nei pressi della propria abitazione e attività sportiva solo all’aperto in forma individuale. Sono chiusi musei e mostre; chiusi anche teatri, cinema, palestre, attività di sale giochi, sale scommesse, bingo, anche nei bar e nelle tabaccherie. Per i mezzi di trasporto pubblico è consentito il riempimento solo fino al 50%, fatta eccezione per i mezzi di trasporto scolastico.

NHS England said that the letters will start landing on doormats from Monday, explaining how people can make an appointment to get jabbed through the national booking service. They have been sent out after more than three in four people aged 65 to 70 took up the offer of a vaccination, it added. It comes as leaders from 60 of the UK's black majority churches joined forces on Sunday to show their support for the Covid-19 vaccine to their congregations. They will say they support the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine programme, and urge their congregations to seek out the facts about the vaccine from trusted sources. They will also say that they have either already been vaccinated or that they will get the vaccine when it is their turn. The alliance of Christian leaders, which includes Bishop of Dover the Rt Rev Rose Hudson-Wilkin, said they felt compelled to act after data suggested black people are among those most likely to be hesitant about receiving the Covid-19 vaccine. Bishop Hudson-Wilkin said: "When you are offered the Covid vaccine, please take it. "This is our chance to show we care for ourselves and our neighbours. "Don't let misinformation rob you of your opportunity to protect yourself and others." This initiative has been organised by Christian umbrella organisations Churches Together in England, Evangelical Alliance and YourNeighbour.

  • This Is How Many Brits Became ‘Accidental Savers’ During The Pandemic

    A new study has revealed another way in which Covid-19 has exacerbated inequality in the UK. More than six million Brits have become “accidental savers” during the pandemic by keeping their jobs while cutting down on monthly outgoings, the report found. According to the report by financial consultancy LCP, these accidental savers “tend to be on higher incomes”. They have benefited especially from not having to pay to travel to and from work during lockdown. However, the report also notes that “significant numbers of young people have also become accidental savers” during the UK’s various lockdowns, mainly through “reduced expenditure on holidays and eating out”. At the same time, it’s important to recognise that huge numbers of young people have not been nearly so lucky. Official figures released this week reveal that under 25s have been hit hardest by rising unemployment during the pandemic. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) found that 726,000 fewer people were in payrolled employment in January 2021 than in February 2020. Some 425,000 – or nearly 60% – of these people are under 25 years of age. Meanwhile, the UK’s student population is currently in the midst of an unjustifiable financial crisis. Many are being forced to shell out for costly university rooms that they cannot even live in, and which in some cases are inadequate. In response to the report’s findings, Heidi Allan of LCP said that the UK’s super-fortunate “accidental savers” now have a unique and expected opportunity to improve their personal financial situation. “This is an opportunity for them to put their personal finances on a firmer footing by reducing debt and increasing saving,” she said. “Employers will have a key part to play in ensuring that workers take advantage of this opportunity and do not simply allow these increased balances to sit in current accounts and gradually drift away.” Like what you see?
