'I'm Still Getting Hit': Sturgis-Bound Motorcyclists Shelter From Hail Inside Construction Equipment

Motorcyclists traveling through the Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming on August 5 were forced to take shelter inside construction machines on the side of the road when hail started coming down, video shows.

The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center warned of possible thunderstorm conditions in Wyoming on Wednesday.

Video filmed by Constantinos Apostolopoulos shows hail raining down as he and another biker on their way to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally attempt to shelter in the cabs of the earth-moving equipment.

The annual Sturgis rally in South Dakota is scheduled for August 7 to 16, according to the event’s website. Credit: Constantinos Apostolopoulos via Storyful
