The Incredibles: Father Helps Son With Autism Speak by Memorizing Movie Scenes

He may be getting his kid to quote Frozone from The Incredibles, but it looks like Earl Wright might just be a bit of a hero himself.

At age three, his son Shawn was diagnosed with non-verbal autism, but a couple of years ago Wright discovered a “breakthrough with his speech” when he found his son “basically repeating” the entire dialogue of his favorite movie scenes.

Now the pair regularly quote film scenes to one another, as seen in video first posted on Reddit, where Wright and eight-year-old Shawn are quoting “Where’s my super suit?” from The Incredibles.

“I share our experiences to give others the same hope I needed myself when my son was first diagnosed,” Wright told Storyful. Credit: Earl Wright via Storyful
