Deaths Confirmed as Amtrak Train Derails Near Joplin, Montana

At least three people were killed when a train derailed near Joplin, Montana, on September 25, according to Amtrak.

Seven train cars derailed at around 4 pm local time. There were 147 passengers and 13 crew members on board the Empire Builder train, which operates between Seattle and Chicago. Passengers and staff were among the injured, an Amtrak statement said.
