'I've Gotta Get Out!': Teacher Swims Through Jellyfish-Infested Waters off Irish Coast

A primary teacher swam carefully through jellyfish-infested waters whilst diving off the coast of Rossnowlagh Beach in Donegal, Ireland.

Conor Bradley was making a video about underwater habitats when he encountered the massive volume of jellyfish on July 20. He recorded a video that shows himself slowly manoeuvring among the marine creatures.

“Mad, I’ve gotta get out,” Bradley says in the video as he floats on the surface of the ocean to take a breath.

Bradley wrote in a YouTube caption that the jellyfish bloom was very rare at Rossnowlagh beach. “What an incredible experience,” he wrote.

Bradley told Storyful that he was a primary teacher based in Qatar. He started recording videos for his students as his school swapped to virtual learning after the lockdown due to COVID-19 last year.
