LA Police Seek Help Identifying Possible Kidnapping Victim

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) released security camera footage on September 25 which shows a possible kidnapping being carried out in South Los Angeles the previous evening.

The LAPD said witnesses in the 100 block of West 79th Street heard someone yell for help at around 11:50 pm on September 24.

This footage shows a man, described as Hispanic and in his 20s, exiting a gray four-door sedan on 79th Street and forcing a woman, also described as Hispanic, into the front passenger door of the car. The man then closes the door and enters the driver’s side. The front passenger door opens again, and the woman appears to try to escape, but is pulled back inside.

Witnesses told the police the vehicle had a Texas license plate, and that the first three numbers were possible “763.” Credit: Los Angeles Police Department via Storyful
