Lava Flow Advances Through La Palma

Lava continued to advance across the Spanish island of La Palma on Wednesday, October 20, just over a month after the Cumbre Vieja volcano first began to erupt.

A 4.8-magnitude tremor – the most powerful since the volcano’s first eruption on September 19 – hit La Palma on Tuesday night, Spain’s Institute of Geosciences (CSIC-UCM) said.
