Live Wires Fall on Busy Ohio Road After Truck Boom Hits Power Lines

Emergency services in Brunswick, Ohio – about 20 miles southwest of Cleveland – responded to a crash on April 18 in which a truck’s boom caught overhead utility wires, causing a power pole to snap and narrowly miss a car.

This footage, posted by the Brunswick Ohio Police Department, shows the boom catching the power lines and sparks flying as the cables fall near a busy intersection on Sunday morning.

Police said the truck failed to lower its boom after dropping off a dumpster at a local business. Live wires were on the vehicle and across the roadway, police said. Credit: Brunswick Ohio Police via Storyful
