Man Appears to Spit on Rainbow Pride Crosswalk in Newfoundland

A man was caught on camera on July 7 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, appearing to spit on a rainbow crosswalk which was installed to celebrate LGBTQI pride.

Lane Specker shared the dashcam footage on Facebook, alleging the man was doing it to protest the LGBTQI community. “Took the time to let this couple cross the road and the man took the time to spit on the rainbow crosswalk. Take note he also didn’t walk on it. There’s still a long way to go,” Specker posted.

In the footage, a couple is seen crossing the street and the man walks to the side of the rainbow path, which he then appears to spit on. As of writing, the post had over 85,000 views on Facebook. Credit: Lane Specker via Storyful
