Man Charged Over Attempt to Steal Motorcycles Using Front-End Loader

A man was charged by Queensland Police over an attempt to steal motorcycles using a front-end loader, as well as leading police on a dangerous chase in Ipswich on October 15.

Police said they would allege the man drove the machine into a motorcycle store and took two motorcycles, before damaging multiple fences and property as police chased him through several suburban streets.

A 41-year-old was found hiding in long grass at a nearby creek and was arrested at the scene, police said.

This video from security footage, police dash cameras, and body-worn cameras shows the moment the front-end loader breaks into the store and the ensuing chase. Credit: Queensland Police Service via Storyful
