Man Wears Live Snake 'as a Face Mask' on English Bus

A man boarded a bus in Manchester, England, on September 14 with a large snake wrapped around his neck that he was seemingly using as a face covering.

One witness captured footage of the event after the man and the python boarded the bus and sat opposite her.

Speaking to Storyful, on the condition of anonymity, the source said, “When he got on the bus it looked like a face mask until he sat down.”

She added, “It was very amusing and the snake was very well looked after. Nobody was bothered on the bus. It made my bus ride much more fun.”

Stagecoach, the company that runs the bus service, later released a statement to local media.

It said, “We expect all of our customers to comply with the government’s rules on wearing a suitable face covering on public transport. A full internal investigation is underway, which includes checking the CCTV on the bus and interviewing the driver.” Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
