Maryland Police Release CCTV of Alleged Syringe Assault

Police in Churchton, Maryland, have released CCTV footage of what they believe was a syringe attack at the entrance to a grocery store on February 18.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the woman was “poked with what is believed to be a syringe” at the entrance to the store, on Shady Side Road in Churchton.

CCTV released by police shows the suspect walking near the woman and bumping into her. The video shows the suspect is holding something in his hand. The woman reacts as if she’s been jabbed.

Police said the suspect, a white male, is approximately 50 years old. Medical treatment was sought for the woman and police said a syringe attack “cannot be ruled out at this time.” Credit: Anne Arundel County Police Department via Storyful
