Missouri Trooper in Lucky Escape as Vehicle Hits Cruiser on Highway 60

A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper was lucky not to be badly hurt on Sunday, July 26, when a driver passing a crash site lost control and crashed into the trooper’s parked vehicle.

Trooper Brooks was assisting a Missouri Department of Transportation crew with an incident on Highway 60 in Dudley, Missouri, when the vehicle slammed into his car.

Dashcam footage from the police cruiser shows Brooks trying to get into his car shortly before the collision. He can be heard saying, “he’s fixing up to hit me,” before he shuts the door and runs away from the car.

Brooks escaped uninjured and the other driver was taken to a local hospital, reports said. Credit: Missouri State Highway Patrol via Storyful
