Work and pensions secretary Therese Coffey called a halt to an interview on ITV's Good Morning Britain programme on Monday.

She had been in a heated discussion with the show’s hosts, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, when she disconnected her camera and abruptly ended the interview.

The presenters had been questioning her on why the UK has one of the worst COVID-19 death rates in the world when she cut them off.
