National World War I Museum Pays Tribute to COVID Victims in Kansas City, Missouri

The National World War I Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, joined the nation on Tuesday, January 19, in remembering the lives lost to COVID-19.

Video shared by Twitter user @GhostInThe_City shows the museum’s president Matt Naylor addressing a scattered audience gathered for the ceremony. “Tonight, with amber lights enveloping our skyline and 1,665 white flags planted at the entrance of the Museum and Memorial, we remember the Kansas Citians lost to the pandemic and we honor our remarkable frontline workers,” the museum wrote in a caption.
