'Oh Deer': New Jersey Police Untangle Stuck Buck

Officers from the Washington Township Police Department came to the rescue of a distressed young buck who was stuck to a fence after his antlers became entangled in rope.

The video was posted to Facebook on Wednesday, September 22, with the headline “Oh deer.” It shows officers Overko, Wheeler, and Peco untangling the animal’s antlers and starting a countdown from five before letting the buck go. The deer then “sprung up and galloped into the woods,” according to the post.

“Great job WTPD!” the post concluded. Credit: Washington Township Police Department via Storyful
