Deadly Almeda Drive Fire in Talent, Oregon, Leaves One Home Standing on Devastated Street

Only one home on a street in Talent, Oregon, survived the raging Almeda Drive Fire on September 9, video shows.

The Almeda Drive Fire, formerly the Glendower Fire, sparked in Ashland on Tuesday and “quickly” spread through the neighboring towns of Talent and Phoenix in Jackson County, The Oregonian reported. Residents were ordered to evacuate on Tuesday and one person was killed in Ashland, reports said.

Video filmed by local resident Drew Cutler on September 9 shows the aftermath of the devastating fire on a street in Talent.

“I have no idea how this one trailer home survived when so many didn’t,” Cutler says in the footage.
