'The Original Wingman': Man Climbs Wing of Grounded Airplane at Las Vegas Airport

A man climbed on the wing of a grounded airplane at McCarran International Airport in Henderson, Nevada, on December 12, later being arrested by the police.

Footage taken by Twitter user @SkipperBK13 shows the man on top of the wing. “Alaska Air crew has been exceptional as The Original Wingman graces us with his presence,” wrote user @SkipperBK13.

According to local news reports, the Las Vegas police arrested the man, with Alaska Airlines later issuing a statement regarding the incident: “Around 2 p.m. PST, Alaska Airlines flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing for take-off when the pilot noticed an individual advancing towards the aircraft. The pilots notified the tower. Law enforcement was dispatched and able to apprehend the individual. Our guests and employees are safe and we are working with law enforcement. The plane has returned to the gate for a full inspection.” Credit: @SkipperBK13 via Storyful
