Police Chief Gives Update on Austin Mass Shooting

Police in Austin, Texas, provided an update in the early hours of June 12 on the mass shooting in which 13 people were shot.

Austin Police Department acting chief Joseph Chacon told media that while two people were in critical condition, there were no reported deaths at the time of his speaking.

The shooting occurred along 6th Street, a popular and crowded spot for night-time revelry.

Chacon said a motive for the shooting had not been determined and gave a brief description of the suspect, who remained at large. Credit: Austin Police Department via Storyful
