Police Disperse Revelers on Barcelona Streets Over Covid Restrictions

Police in Spanish city of Barcelona dispersed large crowds from the Passeig del Born on June 19 over COVID-19 restrictions which currently limit the number of people allowed to safely gather.

This footage, captured by Edorta Moreno, shows crowds singing and dancing before police begin to move people out of the area. This follows earlier footage showing police dispersing large groups of soccer fans gathered near a screen to watch the match between Spain and Poland.

Starting on June 21, COVID-19 restrictions are due to be relaxed in Catalonia, allowing for more than 10 people to gather. Credit: Edorta Moreno via Storyful
