'Quite Harmless': Queen Elizabeth Urges Public to Take Up Covid Vaccine

The Queen has urged people who may be reluctant to receive the COVID-19 vaccine to “think about other people rather than themselves”.

In a conversation with health officials leading the vaccine rollout, the Queen described her experience of receiving the vaccine.

“As far as I can make out it was quite harmless. It was very quick. I’ve had lots of letters from people who’ve been very surprised by how easy it was to get the vaccine. And the jab didn’t hurt at all,” she said. “It is obviously difficult for people if they’ve never had a vaccine. They ought to think about other people rather than themselves.”
