Second e-scooter rider dies in the UK after car collision

A 20-year-old man has become the second person to die in an e-scooter crash in the UK. Shakur Pinnock suffered multiple injuries and was left in a coma, after colliding with a car in Wolverhampton on 12th June. He died in hospital on 18th June. Pinnock’s 19-year-old girlfriend also sustained injuries in the accident and remains in a stable condition in hospital. West Midlands Police is examining CCTV footage and conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area and Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
