Late September Snow Brings Wintry Chill in Springtime to Orange, New South Wales

A late snowfall settled on the New South Wales city of Orange on September 26, bringing a winter’s chill to a spring day.

The Bureau of Meteorology said snow had fallen in the Central Tablelands and urged motorists to exercise caution when driving on icy roads.

The band of cold weather moved north from Victoria, where the day before snow was observed at 400 metres above sea level and temperatures were up to nine degrees colder than average. Credit: Phil Donato via Storyful
