Shoppers Escorted From Jacksonville Mall Following Debunked Rumors of an Active Shooter

Shoppers were escorted from a mall in Jacksonville, Florida, on December 5, following reports of an active shooter situation at the complex.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an active shooter at the mall on Sunday, but after responding to the scene discovered no evidence of a shooting, First Coast News reported.

The sheriff’s office reported at around 6 pm that while there was no indication of shots being fired, the investigation was still active.
