Skies Darken as Smoke From Telegraph Fire Drifts West Towards Phoenix

Skies darkened in Gold Canyon, Arizona, as winds pushed smoke from the Telegraph Fire west towards the Phoenix metropolitan area on June 14.

Air quality was not expected to be impacted in the Phoenix area due to the height of the smoke, according to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.

By Tuesday, the Telegraph Fire had grown to 104,755 acres and was considered 68 percent contained, according to firefighting authorities.
