Smoke Billows From St Vincent Volcano After New Eruption

The La Soufriere volcano on the island of St Vincent erupted for the third time in a week on Tuesday, April 13, sending ash and smoke billowing into the morning sky.

Footage shared on Twitter shows the eruption near homes on St Vincent on Tuesday morning.

The volcano had erupted on April 9.

Tuesday marked the 42nd anniversary of the 1979 La Soufriere eruption, the last time the volcano was active. Credit: @hellonextbrand via Storyful
