'Snowballs Falling From the Sky': Huge Flakes Inundate North Carolina Amid Winter Weather Warnings

A winter weather advisory and storm warnings were issued for much of North Carolina when a snowstorm swept into the state overnight on January 27 to 28, the National Weather Service said.

The NWS said areas under the storm warning were likely to see up to 4 inches while locations under the advisory would see 1 to 2 inches.
