Socially Distanced Worshippers Circle Kaaba on First Day of Ramadan

Worshippers circled the Kaaba and broke their fast in Mecca on the first day of Ramadan, April 13, footage shared by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior shows.

The General Presidency of Haramain said markers were placed on the floor to ensure social distancing at the Masjid al-Haram, which houses the Kaaba. They also said meals were distributed to worshippers at the mosque to allow them to break their fast. Credit: Saudi Ministry of Interior via Storyful
