Spain's iconic Iberian Lynx claws its way back from extinction

Just 20 years ago, Spain's Iberian lynx was at risk of becoming the first big cat to go extinct since the sabre-tooth tiger died out 10,000 years ago. Now their numbers have jumped tenfold, with 1,100 Iberian lynx living in the wild at the end of last year, thanks to a programme of captive breeding.
