Surfer Rides Monstrous Waves During California Storm

Shawn White of San Diego, California, captured an adrenaline rush moment when a surfer rode a monstrous wave between bridge pillars.

White said waves were as high as 15 feet on Saturday, February 18, when he took this video.

A severe storm, dubbed one of the strongest to hit the region in years, brought torrential rain, flooding and strong winds to southern California. At least five people were killed, roads and highways were flooded and power lines were downed, leaving tens of thousands of people in Los Angeles without power, NBC reported.
